Can a chiropractor treat depression?

In Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Pennsylvania and Virginia, where we read the published scope rules for these practitioners, depression is not among the permitted categories of practice as we read them. 15 practitioners we analyzed advertise it anyway. Depression is diagnosed and treated by physicians, psychiatrists and licensed mental health clinicians. A chiropractic license does not cover psychiatric diagnosis. Classifications reflect our review, not an adjudicated finding.
