Can a chiropractor treat Lyme disease?

In Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia, where we read the published scope rules for these practitioners, Lyme disease is not among the permitted categories of practice as we read them. 14 practitioners we analyzed advertise it anyway. Lyme disease is a bacterial infection diagnosed by serology and treated with antibiotics. Diagnosing or treating an infection sits outside a chiropractic license. Classifications reflect our review, not an adjudicated finding.
